Iowa State Fair 2010

We made our annual trip to the Iowa State Fair tonight.  We had such a great time.  Henry loved the footlong corndog and the 1/2 pound tenderloin sandwich.  Hannah did a great job.  I only had to stop and feed her once, and it was in the air conditioned 4-H building.
We had to make a stop at the elk for Grandpa Dave.  Henry thought it was pretty cool.
Our last stop was at the Little Hands on the Farm.  It was SO cute.  It is for ages 2-10 and with Henry only being 1 month away from the big 2, we knew he would do great.  We parked our stroller in the stroller parking designated area and got on our way.  He let the workers put on his apron, and listened to directions very well at each stop.

We didn't have any problems until it was time to ride the tractor.  He LOVES tractors, thanks to my dad who takes him on the riding lawn mower everytime Henry is home.  When Henry sees a picture of my dad he asks 'mow mow??'.  Luckily he will be there next weekend to get his fix of mow mow rides.  He couldn't quite reach the pedals, but figured out how to scoot along.  We had a little bit of a freak out getting him off the tractor, but quickly distracted him toward bessie the cow.
At the end you have to place all your goodies in the baskets.  Henry did a great job.  All by himself he knew which produce went where.  He is so smart.
Daddy and Henry on the walk back to the stroller.  What a great trip.  We are already looking forward to next year!!
