Look at this big boy! And this mom blogging three days in a row!
I love everything about this little guy. Even his many night time wakings. I know one day very soon, he will be sleeping through the night, and I won't get to enjoy those middle of the night smells, hugs, and kisses. I just love everything about the baby stage, and have really been embracing every second I have with this boy, since I know it is probably my last. (Ok - IS my last. Don't freak out Andy.)
What is new with Luke these days??
We introduced solid food! He has tried rice cereal, sweet potatoes, green beans, and butternut squash. He loves the squash and potatoes, not so much the beans. Oh, and applesauce, which he ate the entire container. So each day we try one cube of baby food at school, and one at night for dinner. And then he gets cereal at school too.
That also means his BM's are much more solid, AND stinky. No more easy breastmilk only diet diaper changes.
Now that we have introduced food, we took one bottle away at school, and are down to two 6 ounce bottles. One at 10am, and one at 2pm.
He also has started talking more. Saying ba's a lot. Fun to hear his sweet little voice working through the different sounds.
Look at his rolls! He loves his toes, and grabbing everything in site. He has also mastered sitting up all on his own.
All three crazy Schmidt kiddos. Hannah did NOT want Henry putting his arm around her. Never a dull minute in our house. Henry is so good with Luke, I never have to worry about him with him. Hannah is a different story. She just loves him SO much that she can't grasp the 'gentle' concept. So we continue to struggle daily with that. We have started putting her in timeout if she can't have gentle hands. It won't be long before he can defend himself, then she will be in trouble!
Hard to believe that we are 6 months in, and it won't be long before this boy is crawling everywhere. So I continue to enjoy his cuddling, and sitting in my lap, as I know it won't be for much longer!
What a little love! He's so cute!
