Friday recap...
Our sitter took NYE off so Andy stayed home with the kids on Friday. My parents generously offered to take the kids for the weekend. So at nap time on Friday Andy drove the kids to Grinnell to meet my parents for the drop off. I came home from work Friday night to silence. It was so strange. The whole weekend to ourselves...what to do??!!
Friday night we joined our good friends Mandy and Paul at a friends house party. So much good food, drinks and company. Andy and I have both been fighting colds, so we left in time to cuddle in bed and watch the ball drop together. At least that was my intention....Andy woke up at 1am to me holding the remote in my hand. He turned the TV off and went back to sleep. We both woke up Saturday morning at 8am!! Longest night of sleep ever! The sad part is...neither of us made it up for the ball drop! It was the best way we could have spent NYE - a full night of rest full sleep. Hopefully that is a foresight into the future...

Mandy and I. We were first friends at college as sorority sisters and now live in the same city. We have spent three of the last four NYE together. So lucky to have her and Paul so close!
