This weekend Andy and I were kid free. We got a ton of cleaning done, all the laundry, shopping, watched a movie and more. After accomplishing all the chores we still had a day and a half left with nothing to do. We seriously just sat on the couch, stared at each other and said 'What did we do before we had these crazy kiddos??'.
It was so strange having the house so quite, being able to lie on the floor without getting jumped on, not smelling like spit up, not wearing a nursing tank...the list goes on and on.
One thing I took advantage of was sleep. Both mornings we slept in past 8am (I could have kept sleeping but my breasts woke me up about to explode full of milk). And on Saturday I went back to sleep from 9:30am - Noon!! Sunday we went to church, out for lunch and shopping.
Come 2pm on Sunday afternoon we were definitely ready to see Henry and Hannah. Our weekend alone was great....but nothing we would ever trade for a crazy weekend with the kids.
Thank you mom and dad for taking the kids and giving us time alone. A huge advantage to living so close to the grandparents. And I know Henry has much more fun at Papa's house.
